Peace and Presence in Paradise
A luxurious, restoring experience of therapeutic yoga, meditation and reconnection with nature and self in one of the top-rated retreat centers in the world.
March 1-8 2025
An exquisite week-long retreat of restoration and transformation
Awaken your senses, nourish your heart and inspire your soul at one of the most beautiful places on earth.
Gathering at Haramara Retreat near Sayulita is arriving to welcoming community surrounded by unspoiled, natural beauty away from screens and demanding schedules. I have been fortunate to experience Haramara’s breathtaking open-air design in a lush and luxurious atmosphere several times and past guests agree that mere words cannot describe this place. The awe-inspiring grounds offer plenty of space for quieting the mind, for strolling by flowering trees and butterflies and reconnecting with who you are apart from the roles you play in life. Give yourself the gift of a reset at this magical location that has been described as “Robinson Crusoe meets Architectural Digest”.
Haramara retreat is situated on 12 private acres on the magnificent coast of the Pacific Ocean, backed by the Sierra Madre Mountains in Mexico. The accommodations are gorgeous private casitas that merge the outdoors with the inside, set apart from one another, each nestled within tropical jungle vegetation on a hillside overlooking a private, dramatic beach.
The property has long been stewarded by a grounded, force of a woman with a vision of creating an untouched, eco-friendly sanctuary allowing guests to truly retreat from their lives and immerse themselves in the beauty of nature. She has employed the same sweet-natured, high quality, kind and thoughtful staff for years who go above and beyond to care for us.
Join me for a week in the sensual, lush surroundings of the destination that Yoga Journal calls one of the top ten yoga retreats in the world.
What you’re invited to explore:
a week of powerful experiences designed to help you soften into your senses and receive the gifts of a lovingly curated retreat of rest and renewal
inspiring meditations to welcome the sunrise
daily rejuvenating morning movement and breath techniques to awaken, revive and align
therapeutic balancing practices to support the body post travel
mindfulness teachings for sustainable stress reduction
offerings that encourage restful sleep
the invitation to receive true, lasting relaxation
practices that invite renewed self-compassion with self and others
floating in a salt water infinity pool overlooking the pacific
time to yourself, swinging in a hammock on a private beach
witnessing pink sunsets over the water before sumptuous dinners
Daily walks on “nature’s stair master”, a peaceful (yet at some points steep) trek down to a dramatic beachfront. *Note, those not wishing to walk on sometimes challenging inclines and rock stairs may like to request a casita that is closer to the shalas and restaurant thus shortening the daily walks to and from the accommodations.
Afternoon hatha, restorative, yin and yoga nidra experiences
a profoundly meditative, therapeutic and professional sound bath
abundant time to “be” rather than “do”
An invitation to deepen your connection to nature, to other women and to the wholeness of your body, mind and heart.
What a day at Haramara may look like:
Daily varied sunrise therapeutic movement, mindfulness and meditation experiences in secluded, open air shalas surrounded by nature and birdsong (at least one practice on the private beach)
A gorgeous buffet breakfast featuring fruits, famous house made granola, yogurt, fresh baked goods and hot dishes made to order.
Mid-morning group explorations of self-discovery that include embodied practices, meditations, journaling and music.
Relaxation at your favorite spots throughout the spacious setting, a walk, a dip in the pool or connection with others.
A three course lunch featuring fresh, delectable salads, soups, bowls and light, uplifting desserts
Free afternoons for a siesta, a stroll through the vast, jungle-like setting, relaxation on the secluded beach or at the breathtaking infinity pool looking down at the ocean. You may also indulge in optional spa treatments from supremely skilled local practitioners in spaces created for privacy, yet open to the warm breeze and ocean sounds.
Late afternoon movement and explorations of therapeutic practices to support your body, mind and spirit.
Delicious three course vegetarian or pescatarian dinner served from Haramara's highly acclaimed culinary kitchen in an open-air dining room with a spectacular view of stunning sunset and sea every night.
Inspiring and optional sleep support practices before bed.
This is YOUR retreat and you are invited to give yourself the experience that you desire.
About me (your own personal yoga therapist!):
I’m a Certified Yoga Therapist and a 500 hr Yoga Teacher and Somatic Coach who is passionate about helping people soothe their minds and bodies. Drawing from the systems of yoga, meditation, ayurveda and personal development I aim to curate accessible therapeutic experiences for the modern, busy human. For the last fifteen years, I have served as an advocate for my client’s wellness goals, specializing in offering relief from anxiety, depression, stress, digestive and sleep issues. Through my facilitation of groups, retreats, and private sessions, I intend to support people to create kinder inner landscapes so they can lead, work and live from a place of compassion, self-trust and belonging. In my offerings, expect therapeutic skills for freedom of movement and increased sustainable strengthening for the body, techniques to calm the mind and an invitation to reconnect with the more expansive part of being human.
